Problem with deleting SVP RCP version
4/20/08 11:05 PM
Hi,

I always get the Deleting Errors when I delete Skyway Visual Perspective RCP version. Normally it will complains about the file name too long. Then, I need to go and delete folder by folder, when it complains about the file name too long, i need to rename the file name, then only delete successfully

No idea how it could happen... Anyone can teach me on how to do the full deletion without deleting 1 by 1 folder? It is very annoying...

I believe this has to do with Windows limitation on having the path that exceeds 255 characters.

See this in Microsoft's Knowledgebase: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/320081

Cindy,
Rename the folder that contains your installation to something very short like "rcp" or something and move it to the root of your c drive. That is what I do whenever I get a new build. This prevents the problem that you are experiencing.
